Margaret Ellen Tyre Antonette, born July 29, 1931 in Funston, GA, made her heavenly entrance on Friday, March 11, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Our precious and wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister has left a great legacy and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Paul Tyre Jr. Sharon of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Randy Tyre Catherine of Ft. Atkinson, WI; Brenda Watring Kent of Ormond Beach, FL; Larry Tyre Terri of Bradenton, FL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a sister, Sandra Barnes Lee of Valdosta, GA; sister-in-law, Billie Miller of Brunswick, GA and Lena Jett formerly of Edgewater, Fl.

Margaret, known as Ellen to many, retired as the Assistant Clerk of Circuit Court in the Winter Park Division of Orange County. Throughout her working career, she swiftly rose to leadership positions and was a devoted coach / mentor to so many. Her love of cooking was enjoyed by many coupled with her sweet disposition and encouragement regardless of circumstances. She loved walking on the beach and although she was humble in her many talents and accomplishments she did take great pride in her family and their accomplishments.

As one of her grandchildren wrote, "Grandma was a beautiful, timeless and classy woman who provided everlasting love and care to all of her family members. She was strong and very selfless, with a heart of gold and an amazing sense of humor."

Services will be held, 10:00AM Sunday, March 20th, in Savannah Georgia at Fox and Weeks – Hodgson Chapel, with interment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In honor of our Mother and in keeping with her lifelong consistent disposition, please consider doing something special and unexpected for someone in need.
